Private Mixing Course Level II Workflow Efficiency

The Private Mixing Course Level II is a 12 week intensive course designed for your mixes to be evaluated, week by week, through each step in the mixing process. Level II focusses on streamlining the efficiency of your mixing process by demonstrating workflows that accommodate the needs of specific styles of music. This course includes 10 private lessons where you can ask questions and have your work evaluated in real time. Mix corrections are accompanied with demonstrations of proper technique so that the student can learn directly from their own mistakes. All private lessons are recorded and provided to the student for later review along with the updated DAW session file.

COURSE OUTLINE

Class 1: Workflow Efficiencies Part 1: The 80% Principle

The fundamental purpose of this course is to teach you how to establish an efficient workflow for the first 80% of a mix. The “first 80% of a mix” is the foundation from which all your creative work will built upon. The more efficient you become in this stage, the more energy will be left for the creative work that will make a “mix” into a “record”.
